Interessante Information eines schwedischen EV6 Besitzers mit dem "12V Drainage Problems"

ZitatAlles anzeigenHello! I had the famous 12v battery error this morning, causing the car to not start at all. I have been charging it since this morning with a Ctek charger and I will possibly ressurect the battery, it had a 6v charge..
I am based in Sweden, Europe, for context here.
I contacted my dealer and they confirmed the following issue:
- Users who has a smart charger that charges your car during low peak hours will have battery drain. This is because the charger checks the battery SOC every hour and checks if it can charge to low costs. This wakes the car from deep sleep all the time and thus draining the battery.
- Users who has any third party app connected via Kia connect can also suffer from this depending on ping amount from app.
This info has not been sent out the owners here, just given to new owners.
So in my case, I have Tibber that charges my electricity by the hourly rate, it will then control the charger using the pricing and SOC to figure out when it needs to start charging.
I need to disable this now. It was not a problem before because I used the car daily, thus the 12v battery got charged every day. But now with my new work, I take my bike instead. Resulting in my 12v battery in the car being draind as it has been parked for days with the charging cable plugged in..
So in case you have issues with this, disable any smart charging on your home charger and change password to Kia connect. Then all third party apps will be logged out.
Kia also stated this in their terms for Kia connect under section 7.4.2.1 (sneaky).
